Reed Row is located at the northeast corner of Champlain Street and Florida Avenue in DC’s Reed Cooke neighborhood. The design adds five new floors of loft-style apartments, and reuses the lower level of an existing parking structure to accommodate parking and loading facilities and new English basement units. The new structure creates an intimate courtyard and carriageway entry which serves the main lobby, communal workspace amenity, and bike storage center. Developed by Kettler, the building’s exterior expression is informed by the materials and scale of the traditional masonry buildings found in the seven different historic districts located within two blocks of the site.
